The new 2015 Bridal Wear Collection from Inmaculada Garcia makes a nod to the past, harking back to the early decades of three key centuries – the 18th, 19th and 20th taking from each of them a very subtle source of inspiration.
The first range in her new collection, the most Baroque of all, shines a spotlight on the role of tapestries, lacings, lace, diaphanous skirts and corsets… everything that evokes the courtesan style of the 18th century, when women´s backs had tremendous erotic power and the lace seemed to be a very part of their skin. The color range in this collection goes from pure white to vanilla ivory.
The presentation of her second range, Tenderness, inspired by the 19th century, aims to highlight the sensitivity, romanticism and languor of those times, featuring lace, Chantilly, masses of diaphanous tulle, Imperial cuts with both short and long sleeves and a lot of transparency, making a feature of the waistline and above all the subtlety of a very sensual, ethereal bride.
The third line in the collection, Au Feminin, is inspired by the early 20th century and seeks to capture a chic, nonchalant air with a free and easy touch, using a lot of layered frills, tulle, feathering, lacework and Chantilly lace, nipped-in waists and some shorter dresses and crewnecks.
